Construction worker dies after being impaled on metal stake in Jefferson Co., OSHA investigating

PALMYRA, Wis. — A design worker died Wednesday immediately after slipping from a scaffold and remaining impaled on a metallic stake, officers in Palmyra reported.

Emergency crews responded to the design website on Violet Road in the Village of Palmyra about 5 minutes immediately after acquiring the 911 simply call. Officers said Wednesday afternoon they found the employee stuck to the stake, not respiration, and devoid of a pulse.

Crews lower the steel stake and tried lifesaving measures, but the employee was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County Medical Examiner. The employee is not remaining recognized until eventually family and up coming of kin can be notified.

The area of Violet St. was closed for several hrs owing to the incident.

Officials did not say how the employee fell, but the incident remains underneath investigation by the Palmyra General public Basic safety Department, OSHA and the Jefferson County Health-related Examiner.
