Boulder home gets reimagined with warm and sophisticated living spaces

Architecture studio Bldg.Collective has reimagined this spectacular present-day residence situated on a sprawling five-acre assets in south Boulder, Colorado. This job illustrates the transformative character of transforming a dated older household into a present-day dwelling.

The original household was a 1980’s two-tale cedar-sided ranch, complete with a shallow, non-functioning wrap-all-around porch and big moss-rock and brass fireplace. The architects started this Boulder household renovation venture by stripping away all of the non-structural prospers. They then proceeded by introducing the north and south porches to extend the foundation and substantial expansive home windows to seize the sights to the foothills.

The challenge is rounded off with an fully new material palette within and out to complement the stately mother nature of its place on the house and present a lightness, warmth, and sophistication to the inside.
