KATHMANDU: The Household Ministry has issued a clarification on the use of aged map of Nepal viewed in the decorations and medals conferred on several personalities by the President on April 9.

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari conferred honorary tiles, decorations and medals on many personalities Friday.

The media, common general public and civil culture marked the use of previous map in the titles yesterday and thoughts were being elevated on the govt and even protests were held in the funds today.

Issuing a push launch Saturday, the Household Ministry dealt with the worries lifted because yesterday.

According to the ministry, the honors conferred on Friday had been meant to be dispersed on April 1, 2020 (Baisakh 1st, 2077 BS). The distribution could not acquire place because of to COVID-19 pandemic. At the time of announcement, planning and distribution of the honors, the map had not been up-to-date.  Therefore, the aged map made use of in the honors yesterday was the genuine map of Nepal at that time.

It has also mentioned that titles declared right after the map was up to date have been integrated with the new map. The new titles will be conferred on April 14, 2021 (Baisakh 1st, 2078 BS).
