Russia’s Rosatom signs new construction contract for Turkish nuclear plant

ISTANBUL, July 30 (Reuters) – Russia’s Rosatom has awarded TSM Enerji the agreement to undertake the remaining development perform at the $20 billion nuclear electric power plant it is building in Akkuyu in southern Turkey, the firm explained on Saturday.

Akkuyu Nukleer, a Rosatom subsidiary that is building 4 reactors at the website on the Mediterranean, stated it had signed the engineering, procurement and development agreement with TSM soon after terminating its agreement with Turkish organization IC Ictas.

TSM is owned by 3 Russia-based corporations, according to the Turkish trade registry.
