The Studio McGee Office Deep Dive: Shea’s Office

Wander into Shea’s office…

Shea definitely preferred her office to come to feel regular and female, nonetheless fashionable and progressive at the same time. We reached this look by setting up with the basis of a neutral wrapped wallpaper by Morris & Co. that has a wonderfully delicate sample. Paired with the base of a classic rug, it is a combination that sets the tone for the relaxation of the space.  

The desk serves as a massive workspace for laying out samples, models, and to host meetings. We deliberately did not increase a desktop personal computer right here because Shea required the area to experience more like an open, collaborative space. (She utilizes her home studio to do her heads down, concentrated work!). The chairs are from McGee & Co., and we appreciate how inviting and cozy they experience in the area. 

All of the open spaces in the office have concrete floors, but the enclosed spaces have vinyl from Lemco Design. The tone of the flooring provides a neutral contact to each of the rooms, and it is tough more than enough for all of the daily visitors in and out of the business areas.  

To make Shea’s office feel unique than Syd’s, we went with painted, closed designed-ins comprehensive with brass accents and reeded glass (whilst Syd has open up shelving!). It feels both equally feminine and present day and make for a fantastic statement piece in the room. You will discover a shelf in the middle of the designed-in that serves as a display screen for style and design books. Shea loves sharing the inspiration she gathers, and this shelf is the great way to do just so. It’s a smaller element that we extra into the layout that goes a seriously extended way.  

We included in a couple additional items from McGee & Co., like the Lucille English Sofa and Beacon Sideboard — both equally which provide an elevated and complex glance. Due to the fact the wall that the sofa sits on is ground-to-ceiling glass, we intentionally selected a couch with an exquisite shape. The terracotta layered drapes make the space experience homey — offering the space the last touch to make it a room that Shea can simply call her dwelling absent from household.
